Experience the ultimate in high-performance training with our unique FUSION HOCKEY program, exclusively at Northern Edge Sports. This is our elite level training, led by head performance Paul Watson.

Fusion Hockey combines Paul’s sport science knowledge from his career as an athlete in Ice and Inline Hockey as well as Elite level cyclist, alongside his career as a performance coach working with both amateur and professional athletes at Olympic level.
​
Paul is a qualified sports scientist and trainer, with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, specialising in the hockey athlete, alongside hockey coaching certifications.
​
The combination of Olympic standard cycling/fitness training through the use of Wattbikes, with Northern Edges performance analysis software to track a players progress, with Hockey specific strength and conditioning training, Fusion is designed to give any player the elite edge in performance.
​
Fusion hockey sessions consist of the correct mixture and intensity of training for any given athlete, taking into consideration age, ability, point in season and any injuries.

A typical Fusion session would include the following..

Wattbike, with individual wattage targets for every player

Stryde skating power work, using our Styrde machine to build key muscles and stride technique

Stickhandling work, through coaches drills and use of Electronic ‘Game Changer’.

Strength and Conditioning work. Plyometric jump box training and Medicine ball work.
For those players who want to be Elite….you have to train Elite!

Exciting Opportunity for Young Inline Hockey Players looking to take on 2026 Inline world tournaments, including Barcelona Sparta Kids Cup! 1st - 5th April.

Team Fusion UK is recruiting for 2026 tournament, for U10/ U14 and U16 age groups.
​
We are looking for talented players to represent us in European and beyond tournaments! Players who have great attitudes and are willing to work hard on an individual level to progress but also believe in the importance of Team first!
​
Fusion U14 & U16 Team is a project that works with all players, on a progressive training programme, either in our rink or remote online with coaches feedback.
The team will have various training dates together, which are flexible to allow schedules of all players to align. We firmly believe in any team roster can be successful given the correct level of coaching and exposure to each other.
So we must stress, this is a program of hockey that is performance based, of course we make it fun along the journey, but performance is at the heart of this team, so players must buy into this process and be willing to work, benefiting from an Elite level of coaching and guidance.

We are currently accepting applications for players in the U10, U12, U14 and U16 age group. We accepting expressions of interest, so please reach out to register interest and we can and send out individual information packs.
